Qigong International Standards Seminars Sunday 19 May 2013

WTPA, in conjunction with Yulong Wushu-Tai Chi is proud to advise that Professor Lily Sun will conduct a comprehensive seminar comprising:
Introduction to the Chinese Health Qigong Association's Standardised Rules & Regulations for International QiGong,
Competition and Grading Assessment; practical demonstration of Ba Duan Jin; and teaching of standardised routine.
The seminar is to be conducted on Sunday 19 May from 1.00 to 5.00 pm at Sea Scout Hall, 6 Aquatic Drive Albert Park.

Taijiquan Refinement Courses
with Masters Lily Sun & Tara Brayshaw
Workshop1: Duan Wei Yang Style Series 1 Revision
In addition to refining the Standardised Yang Style First Duan forms, you will learn the 4 individual martial applications from the form.
This will give you the complete curriculum as presented by the Chinese Wushu Association for the First Duan.
This workshop is open to anyone who has completed the previous Yang Style Duan Wei Series 1 Workshops
Workshop 2: Beijing 24 Core Principles
For those wishing to gain a deeper insight into how the core principles of Taijiquan work in relation to the postures used in the Beijing 24 form.
By concentrating on the core principles and their relationship to the physical postures, you will gain a greater understanding of the internal/external relationship of many of the standard Taijiquan movements. This will vastly improve your Taijiquan in all respects.
This class is open to anyone who has completed the Beijing 24 form.

China Tour 2012

John & Veronica have finalised their 2012 China Tour itinerary. It is a tai chi related tour but is suitable for anyone interested in Chinese culture, sacred mountains, classical Chinese scenery, more traditional big cities than the likes of Shanghai or in the martial arts.
This tour also gives people the opportunity to experience tai chi with a genuine Wudang Monk - Master Zhao Wei Dong.
Tai chi lessons will be suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners and people wanting to try for the first time.

2012 Macau International Martial Arts Tournament
8th to 11th July 2012, at Forum de Macau, Macau
A high-standard competition designed to promote the Chinese martial arts. The Conference Honorary Chairman is the world famous Wu Bin (Jet Li & Master Tang Lai Wei are two of his more well-known students).
9th Zhejiang International Traditional Wushu Competition 2012
13th to 15th July 2012 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China
A well-established an extremely popular competition that is playing host to the 2nd International Dong Yue Taijiquan Competition.
2012 Singapore International Traditional Wushu Competition
20th to 24th July 2012 in Singapore
This is the first time this competition has been run. It is being conducted by the Singapore Shaolin Martial Arts Association with assistance from the China Wuhan Institute of Physical Education. The competition promises to be spectacular with many activities for athletes and observers.
